Ensinger/PennFibre is pleased to announce their new line of High Performance Forming Materials. This expanded offering includes several materials never before available in formable grades.
New nylon offerings include both Pennite® and DuPont™ Zytel® FS materials in type 6 and type 6/6 with and without glass reinforcement. These materials are designed for under the hood applications with demanding heat loads.
DuPont™ Delrin® FS is included as the world’s first and only thermoformable acetal. Strength to weight, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability are a few key features of Delrin® FS.
Fortron® PPS is available in several grades to meet demanding applications where high heat and chemical resistance are paramount. Inherently flameproof, and V0 rated, PPS is a natural choice for automotive, medical, electronics, and public transportation projects.
DuPont™ Hytrel® (TPE) and DuPont™ Surlyn® Reflection Series offer numerous opportunities for formers in niche applications for chemical resistance and extended mechanical properties. Automotive opportunities are prime applications for both materials.
Solef® PVDF is available with and without fiber backings for forming chemical tanks and liners. PVDF provides exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals at elevated temperatures.
Ultem® is available in numerous grades including GE’s new higher heat formulations. From food service through medical, and onto public transportation, Ultem® has always been a favorite when high performance is required.
Udel® Polysulfone exhibits exceptional hydrolytic and dimensional stability with a high heat deflection temperature. Polysulfone is a natural choice for fluid handling and chemical resistance applications.
Most of these High Performance Forming Materials are available from .010” - .250” thick in rolls up to 24” wide and sheets up to 48” wide. Most materials have options for glass reinforcement, ESD compliments, and fiber backings. A compact disk with detailed information on all of these materials is available upon request.
