POLYPHENYLSULFONE Radel R® PPSU is a transparent amorphous high performance thermoplastic providing high HDT and heat stability, toughness, resistance to stress cracking and a U.L. 94 VO rating. In addition, PPSU has excellent impact resistance, chemical resistance and electrical properties, and virtually unlimited steam sterilizability. These characteristics make PPSU suitable for a range of applications, including medical trays, dental instrument holders, food trays and electrical /electronics components. There are many applications in transportation, such as aircraft interior panels, reflectors, sockets, connectors and fuse bodies. Glass filled formulations are available to provide increased stiffness and impact resistance.
